Restaurant Review of Ginza Hibikiya
My friend works for a part time job at this restaurant and that is how I got to know this restaurant. The restaurant is near Ginza Six and therefore, seem to be crowded at all times so I made a reservation for two people online with an application called " Tabelogu" in advance.
I arrived ten minutes before my reservation and one staff kindly opened the door for us when we arrived at the front of the restaurant. The restaurant is not spacious, and it does not have a private room.
The staffs all looked young, like university students and they seemed to get along well. I ordered the sirloin steak course for two, which was 10,450 yen per person. Other than tax, there was a ten percent service charge and after all, I thought it was kind of pricy even regardless of the location.
The service of the restaurant was satisfactory, every time the staff checked when to bring the next dish to our table and if we were satisfied with the taste of it. They even asked if we needed anything else beside the course menu. The white couple seating next to us did not speak Japanese, but the waiters tried hard to communicate in English, and they seemed to be happy too, because of the polite behaviors.
I was impressed how the restaurant offered to cook the bread that was under the sirloin steak into a caramel sugar toast. I thought it was only for soaking the juice of the steak.
It was a good experience to eat at the restaurant and I enjoyed it.
