He runs Georgia Tech's poetry program. He was born in Northampton Massachusetts. He went to Emerson College in Boston. He also used a lot of imagery and iron in his poems.

I love the fact that you made a diagram of the interior of the refrigerator to illustrate to your classmates more clearly what was described in the poem. It was a good choice of poem. This poem, for some reason, is usually avoided by students in this seminar because (I suppose) it's rather long and looks intimidating. I appreciate your courage in selecting it and I was impressed by your analysis, which showed a deep understanding of it.
